Accepted Cards
Due to the tremendous response from readers of Period Living magazine my order book is now full and I'm unable to accept anymore orders for personalised breadboards until mid September.
I'm taking a well earned 2 week holiday early September and hopefully will return refreshed and ready to carve more Breadboards.

The shop will reopen on 15th September

best wishes

An English Rose marries an Aussie
I was asked for "appropriate" decoration; and together the client and I came up with this idea.

The fullsize board
It was to be either a hat with corks on or a Boomerang. The curve fits well on the board, so a Boomerang was chosen.

A retirement present
This was for someone who was retiring from "Man Investments"

I was asked to engrave a particular type of large Yacht on the front.

Wedding 16 inch cheeseboard
These boards look magnificent when piled with different sized cheeses and decorated to form a tiered wedding "cake". It's an unusual alternative to a traditional fruit cake. I can make them from 14"-18" depending on the size of your base cheese with decoration to suit a theme or style. See my commissions page for another exhample. To order a similar board or to discuss your requirments please contact me.

These made me smile!

I can put unusual decoration at the sides as in the two fish, but may have to charge a little extra depending on what's required. The same goes for adding engraving onto the center of a board

Two more interesting inscriptions
The sky's the limit regarding inscriptions, if I can fit it on, you can have it.

Spot the mistake!
I've been spelling forty as fourty on my cheques since I first started writng them. This order came in and I just copied and carved it without a thought that it was wrongly spelt. It wasn't until the customer's secretary pointed out the mistake that either of us was any wiser, oops!

Oops, wrong spelling!

Old Boiler breadboard
As for "The Old Boiler" I just hope she has a good sense of humour.

Large inscriptions
I can put larger inscriptions on boards, as in "Kate & Luke", but I had to use a 13.5" board to fit it all on.Naturally there is an extra charge for bigger boards, depending on the size. Please contact me to discuss your requirements.

35 characters

13.5
35 characters is getting near the limit for a standard size board, it depends on how many words there are too, as the spaces between the words have to be taken into account.

A Chinese inscription
I don't know what this means, but I was quite pleased with the result. It was certainly a new challenge.
